Ryan Homes will be breaking ground soon on its new townhome development wedged between Gateway and Irwin Avenue Elementary. They are beginning sales now with prices starting in the mid 200’s.
I love the area these are being built because I went to school at Irwin Elementary and its nice to see the neighborhood improving with some new construction.
With all the development and land swapping/puchasing going on in this area of Third Ward, “Sixth At Gateway” is poised to have its new home owners see some good appreciation.
If you would like additional details on pricing, floor plans, and availability of one of the few available new townhomes within the beltway, email me at: Scott Hartis

If you have traveled down N. Graham or Trade Street in the past year or two on foot, I’m sure you probably noticed the James K. Polk building and its condition. Actually its hard to miss it because they have scaffolding in place to help keep pedestrians safe from falling debris. Well, the block that currently houses the James K. Polk building is soon going to go through a terrific transformation that will add 400 luxury apartments, shops and a seven story parking deck.
Crosland and Trinity Capital are partnering on the project to provide an apartment building similar in amenities to new uptown condo developments, without the option of ownership. Tenants will be able to enjoy high end finishes inside their apartments and many amenities outside of their apartments. The amenities will include a saltwater pool, private courtyard, two story gym, rock climbing wall, resident lounge, rooftop pool with skyline view and more.
Apartments will range from 600 to 1300 square feet and rents are expected to range from $900 to $2,000 a month.

Uptown Charlotte’s long running outdoor market opened this past weekend. This market is always fun to visit on Saturday mornings to collect fruits and vegetables from local farmers. If you’re interested in visiting, the Center City Green Market is every Saturday through September 6th. Its open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is located on 7th Street across from Reid’s Grocery. Many of the weeks, the market is themed. For additional details, you can visit the website for Center City Green Market.

Budget Self Storage has plans to demolish two old buildings on West Morehead to make way for climate controlled storage units and rental office suites. The self storage will actually be located on a floor between the rental office suites. Even though many developers are designing new condos with additional storage space, I bet it won’t take long for these self storage units to fill up! With the close proximity to Uptown Charlotte and Wesley Heights, it will be more convenient for pack-rats to store their baseball card and comic book collections or even Christmas decorations.
